#girlsNfootball

It's been a week and a day since the awesome Seahawks vs Saints playoff game and I was invited by Jess to a #girlsNfootball party at Buckley's in Belltown to watch the game against the Chicago Bears.  It was jam packed in there but luckily, we had the Green Room reserved for us.  It was a pleasure meeting some fabulous women but it was a sad game for the Seahawks.  We lost 24-35, only scoring in the 2nd half.  Disappointing day for Seattle but still proud that we made it this far, GO SEAHAWKS!  One of the attendees made these super cute swag bags for us!

Seahawk Playoff Game!

The Seahawks vs Saints game was the most epic football game I've been to!  (Not gonna lie, it beats the Holiday Bowl game by a hair!)  Jen, Mai, and I were just hanging out then I saw a tweet that said something like "playoff game tickets now available" then in the middle of girl talk I go "do you guys wanna go to the playoff game?" then with a click of a button, we bought tickets to the game!!!  I was super happy that we all decided to go!

It was the most intense and the most fun I've had at a game!  EVERYONE WAS GOING CRAZY! I was jumping so high, I could touch the sky!  The walk from our 300 level seats all the way down after the game was priceless!  So much cheering and high-fives, nothing beats being in Qwest Field that night, NOTHING!  Mai said "I've never felt so united with strangers!" and I couldn't agree more!  Let's just say that the Saints got LYNCH'd!  Everyone Seahawk fan lost their voice that night AND we, the 12th man caused an earthquake! WHO DAT WHO DAT!

So proud of the Pete Carroll and the Seattle Seahawks!  Let's put the Bears into hibernation!

In case you missed it:

GREAT DAY TO BE IN SEATTLE!

Road Trip to the Holiday Bowl & NYE

Dec. 28th was my last day at Publicis because the next day Jen, Mai, Ian and I were San Diego bound for the Holiday Bowl!  We also decided to spend New Years in LA!  2010 was such an epic year for me, I was stoked that we were going to end it with a bang because it was the only way to go!  I love San Diego because I lived here for a little bit when I was younger because my dad's side of the family all live here.  I love LA vibe especially Santa Monica, I don't know, there is something about it that I love!

It only took us 18 hours driving nonstop from Seattle to San Diego!  The only bad thing was that I got my first speeding ticket of my life!  UGH!  I had a feeling it was going to happen and it did.  It was about 3 am in the morning and I was going 93 in a 70 (I swear it didn't feel like it though) around Modesto.  I won't find out how much my ticket is until I get it in the mail and my mom is going to kill me!  Biggest suck of 2010! But anyways...

It was so cool walking around San Diego and seeing friends and fellow Huskies in purple and gold!  It was a takeover and we won!!!! Such an awesome game!! Ahh! Bow Down to Washington! Congrats to Coach Sark, Jake Locker, and the rest of the football team!  Well deserved! :)  UW basketball also beat USC and UCLA!  So proud to be a Husky! U-U-U-U-DUB!

Well here are some pics from our 5 day CA trip!

My buried life girls and I had a blast!  Tasha was an awesome host and we were lucky to have her to show us around and to let us crash at her place!  It took us another 18 hours to get back to Seattle!  No speeding ticket this time.  Feels good to be back because there's no place like home!  Happy 2011!  Excited to see what the new year has in store, it can only go up from here! :)

Mr. & Mrs. Andrew Hyres

A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person” - defines Elaine and Andy because I see it every time I'm with them  (quote I included in my Maid of Honor speech)

Song: "Marry Me"- Train

Busy, busy busy! I've been slacking on my posts because my cousin Elaine flew in from Hawaii for her wedding and I'm her maid of honor so I've been preparing for her arrival and big day!  She flew in on Saturday the 11th and that night we had her bachelorette party!  The following Saturday, the 18th,  was the wedding at the North Fort Lewis Chapel on Joint Base Lewis-McChord followed by the reception at the Temple Theater in downtown Tacoma!  It was a beautiful day even if it rained!  Beautiful couple, beautiful ceremony, beautiful people, beautiful reception and everything just fell into place- beautifully!  It was such a blessing and more than an honor to be a part of their wedding and it will always be a very special memory of mine because it was the first wedding that I was a part of!  So many precious moments to capture!  I started crying when Elaine walked down the aisle with her dad.  She looked perfect, indescribably gorgeous and happy!  She glowed and everyone in the room could feel the love Andy and Elaine have for each other!  It was beyond amazing!

Three and a half weeks later Corliss Photography posted a slide show and the proofs from the wedding ceremony and reception on their site!  They did an extraordinary job! The pictures are absolutely incredible!  I would highly recommend hiring this couple for your special event!  The slide show definitely brought a tear to my eye and I wanted to share it with you so I hope you clicked the link above this post! :)

Wishing all the best to all the newly weds out there! Who's next?!

My First Office Holiday Party...

The Best Night You'll Sorta Remember
With an invitation like that, how can you resist?  My fellow interns and I were constantly debating about whether or not we wanted to go to our office party.  We didn't know what to expect!  I even googled about what to expect at an office holiday party.  Nerdy I know but it doesn't hurt to read about what some of the pro's have to say about office party etiquette about what to wear, what to bring, etc.  Our party attire was lodge-cocktail.  That's a pretty big range.  I talked to a lady during lunch and she said she was wearing her retro ski suit and another lady said she was wearing a cocktail dress.  Hm, I decided to go to cocktail!

The holiday party was a good time!  Played some games, chopped it up, and had some drinks while a live band jammed out.  It was nice to see people out of the office and it was nice to see the 60+ other people who worked in our building that I've never seen before.  There was a good mix of lodge-wear and cocktail attire, there was one woman I recognized from the advertising floor who wore a cocktail dress, a fur hat with ear flaps and UGGs.  That was cute, why didn't I think of that?!  We also had a cool moose ice sculpture that poured shots of jager!

In the end, I'm glad that I decided to go because it was funny hearing stories about it at the office the next day without feeling left out for not going. Yay for going!

24 hours laters...

It's been discussed, decided, and confirmed that three ladies who I like to call my "buried life girls" are taking a road trip to sunny San Diego to support our Dawgs at the Holiday Bowl!  We also plan to spend New Year's Eve in LA! I am so freakin' stoked!  2010 is awesome, definitely have to end the year with a bang!

[1.5 weeks later]
It's so official!
